Choneftiri is a cinematic essay that observes burial spaces and the traces left behind by the dead. Through inscriptions, dates, objects, and material decay, it follows the body’s journey from burial to exhumation and the places where the bones are taken. The film explores what remains of individual identity as the body decomposes and its material boundaries begin to dissolve.
